My name is Sean Fitzgerald.
I am a loving father of two children and a longtime resident of Barrie in Allandale. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and currently work as a Health and Safety Professional on the side of Workers. I believe my considerable experience with committee work, member advocacy and interpretation of Ontario Legislation make me a very strong candidate to be your next School Board Trustee.
My core beliefs are that inclusion, equity and diversity make us strong and productive. A safe and supportive education system that promotes opportunities for the community, parents, teachers, administrators and students to give input and feedback alongside maximum transparency from the politicians are the cornerstones of a high functioning education system.

Safety and Well-Being
Ensuring every school is a secure, welcoming environment where students can focus on learning without fear. I advocate for safety protocols and enforceable policies against bullying. I strongly believe student well-being necessarily includes robust mental health support systems.
Student Achievement
Student achievement and success will be driven by upholding equity and well-being as a moral duty to ensure every single student thrives. I will be relentlessly committed to student achievement for all, with no exceptions.
